Enjoy five sports in Modern Pentathlon Olympic event

Modern Pentathlon event in Olympic covers five sports events namely Pistol shooting, Equestrian, Epee Fencing, Swimming and running Cross Country. All these disciplines are completed in a single day. Event is held for both men and women. Started in 1912 Olympics, Modern Pentathlon judges all round abilities of athletes. It is understood that five Olympic rings represent the five sports of this event and the reason why this event could never be taken out of Olympics despite oppositions. Modern Pentathlon event in Olympics is a symbol of legacy and culture in Olympics and also represents participation of five continents.

All sports in the event except Cross Country are judged based on scores. Normally, a single hall is used for shooting and fencing disciplines. Individual scores from fencing, shooting, swimming and equestrian events are aggregated and used to decide who would start first in cross country running. The top aggregate scorer starts first in cross country followed by the next scorer and so on after a gap of certain interval of time. Cross Country running is a handicap run and whoever finishes the race first is given Gold medal followed by Silver for the second runner and Bronze for third runner. Because of the beauty of five sports in single event of Modern Pentathlon, it is perfect enjoyment on a single ticket.
