The Nicorette "Quitting Sucks" Shark Commercial

This was my favorite television commercial to date. At first I thought it would just be another boring commercial for a product to help you quit smoking. Initially my suspicion seemed justified when the shark jumped out of the water and bit the man's arm. "What an obvious metaphor" I thought to myself, assuming the shark to be just a symbol for his nicotine cravings. As he chanted to himself, "Cigarette, cigarette, cigarette," etc... I anticipated the moment when he would take the product and the shark would magically disappear. Imagine my surprise when, upon taking the product, he instead looked over and, seeing what was chewing on his arm, proceeded to scream, "Shark, shark!" and pound at it with his fist. I burst out laughing the first time I saw it, I was caught so off guard by the shark being real and not a metaphor.
