Two and a Half Men - A General Overview from a Woman's Perspective

My husband loves this show, and for the life of me I cannot understand why. I am fairly young, but I have a lot of the traditional ideals that most women my age do not have anymore. Every time we watch this show, I'm assaulted by innuendo, scenes, and dialogue regarding casual sex. In the beginning of the show's run, it wasn't quite as bad as the later seasons have gotten to be. But it seems that Charlie Sheen's character is always hopping into bed with one woman or another, and that bothers me. I'm raising a daughter and I want her to realize that women are not just objects - and it's so hard to explain that to young girls when they are personified as cheap and easy on sitcoms like this. For a show that should be "family friendly," it certainly is toeing the line. Why can't this show focus on the funnier aspects without resorting to sex? I like the show in general, but my sigh is definitely audible every time I see or hear yet another sexual reference. Perhaps I'm just too old-fashioned for my own good, but I think that sex is overused in the media as it is. Why can't this show focus on the funnier aspects without resorting to sex?
