One Miner Can Mine Multiple Cryptocurrencies
Most cryptocurrencies are so similar to one another, chances are one type of miner can mine multiple currencies. What I mean by that is you don't need a special mining software for Bitcoin, another one for Litecoin, and a third one for Dogecoin. And if you mine through mining pools, it's a matter of changing the pool's URL and your miner log in to a different pool.
Just today, when Zeitcoin came online, I switched my mining software over to its new pool. Took less than a minute. If you have a Nvidia GPU, like I have, then you can use cudaminer for most of the mining. If you rather mine with your CPU, cpuminer can handle it.
